Chili Cheese Log

Family: Nanoo – Southern Living

1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
1 1.25 oz. pkg chili seasoning mix (mild)
3 tbs commercial salsa (mild)
1 cup finely chopped pecans
2 cups (8 oz.) finely shredded monterey jack cheese

Combine first 3 ingredients, beat on medium speed of electric mixer.
Stir in pecans & half of shredded cheese. Divide mix in half (may need
to chill first). Shape into 2 logs or balls. Roll in remaining cheese.
Wrap in plastic & aluminum foil. Chill until ready to serve.

You may freeze- thaw at room temperature. Serve with crackers- garnish
if you like with parsley sprigs & jalepeño peppers.

Makes 3 cups.
