Apple Dumplings

Family – Richard Ryan (from his sisters)

1 can crescent rolls
2 Granny Smith apples peeled and cut into fourths
1 stick of butter
1/4 cup cinnamon
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup 7-Up

Place one piece of the apple in the crescent roll triangle and roll up. Place them in a greased baking dish. Pour melted butter over the dumplings. Mix the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over them. Pour the 7-Up over them and bake at 375 for 40 minutes.

Notes: These are pretty good with vanilla ice cream. Ruth uses the same recipe, but uses orange juice instead of the 7-Up, and she says that’s great.
